I want to introduce you to my ongoing project – 100 strangers in Tel Aviv. The idea behind my “100 strangers’ project” is to take photos of 100 different people that I have never met before.

For me, it’s not only the photography itself, but also the story behind the people. Understanding that behind every stranger we encounter for a brief moment, fascinating stories can be hidden.

I met Sahar Shalev & Eyal de leeuw sitting on a bench on a street corner in Tel Aviv.

They were both from Tel Aviv and had lived abroad for quite some time, Sahar in New York and Eyal in Amsterdam. When they returned they noticed that the clothing style of the typical Israeli men were not very impressive, nor up to date.

Zvulun Greydi was sitting outside his shop, preparing his pipe when I approached him.

I asked him if he would be willing to take part in my project. He gladly agreed.

Zvulun is – according to his own testimony – an antique who likes antiques.

I met Kristin Eulitz from Berlin at midday on one of the main streets in Tel Aviv.

Kristin studies Politics.

As part of her practice for the semester she volunteers at The Friedrich Naumann Foundation.

When I saw Linor Dalal she was sitting on the ground on a typical boulevard,

looking at her dogs which had just been filmed for a movie clip.
